The Harness- the biggest event in John Reid's second week of life was the placement of a
Pavlic Harness. We were advised to see a Pediatric Orthopedic by our Pediatrician. We love Dr.
Messer, who strongly suggested we fix a mild form of hip
dysplasia by placing this harness on. He will wear if for about 12 weeks and the great news is that it should be 100% fixed. Of course it breaks your heart as parents, but John Reid knows no different. We can't take it off...not even for bath time! Yikes! Dr.
Messer said it was probably his size in relation to mine that caused his left hip to be more loose than normal.

We can still get a good swaddle, even with the harness!

Another hair wash. This time is got lighter and wavy.

Our precious boy in baby blue!
By the end of the second week John Reid has spent wonderful time with 3 sets of Grandparents (all grandmas were WONDERFUL help to Emily during their visits) and one set of great-grandparents. (The other set he will meet at Easter)

Admiring himself.

There is a very special park outside downtown Fort Worth were Chris and I have been visiting for years. We can remember many important talks and moments at this park from all stages of our relationship from dating on. I walked around the park often while pregnant and Chris would throw the tennis ball for the dogs. This weekend we took John Reid to this park twice. Saturday, by himself and Sunday with his two canine brothers.

Daddy is off to work!

Mommy is at home spending most of the time keeping that boy fed!
