We went to John Reid's 4 month check up today. He is 25.5 inches long (75%) weighs 14 lbs 10 oz (50%) and his head circumference is in the 50% too! He did surprisingly well with his shots. He cried real loud at the first one and by the 4th shot he had his passy in his mouth and was fine! The nurses and myself were impressed. He continues to sleep 8-9 hours before waking for a quick feeding and then is off to bed again. Here a few things John Reid loves:
#1 to smile- I will not suger coat anything, he is a baby! But he is smiling most of the time, even today after his shots!
#2 his passy- It seems to be the trick in most occasions
#3 his hands- They now live inside his mouth!
#4 not being on his tummy- Most babies these days are rolling from back to tummy first. John Reid rolled for this first time this weekend from tummy to back. I think he hates his tummy so much he'll do anything to get off of it!
#5 music class- we had our first baby music class last week. He loved it! We now spend most of the day listening, singing and dancing to the CD. He already picks up on his favs!
#6 rocking- our front porch is the most likely place to find us.
#7 talking- he told the dr. today a very long story that included squealing in delight at the best part (wish we knew what he was saying!)
#8 the pool- while his eyes get even bigger when he is in the water he seems to really enjoy the interesting environment.
