We had a great long weekend with Chris' family in Tyler. What a joy it was to be in such a beautiful place with wonderful people as we celebrated that HE HAS RISEN INDEED! It seems like every time we visit some major project has just been completed. My personal favorite addition (made a few years ago) is the guest house. Chris and I are able to sleep in our own separate house and the boys are just 20 yards from us! I got a wonderful wake up call every morning from GiGi saying "Benjamin's hungry!"

The newest addition to the place is a pond and dock. Benjamin is enjoying our dock-side lunch picnic

The other addition this visit was Popsy's Shop. It's basically a huge garage to house Cam (Chris' step dad's) toys. However, John Reid has a Mickey Mouse basketball goal in there so he thinks it's a playground just for him. Here is Chris and John Reid trying the motorcycle on for size

Lots of family came over on Saturday for burgers. This is the best picture we got of the boys

We went to Grand Saline, where Chris' grandparents live, for church. First United Methodist Church Grand Saline is quite a sight to behold. Benjamin was quite active so I spent most of the service in the "nursery." This is the exact room that both Chris and his mom spent many a Sunday as a child.

Grandad-O, Jan and Benjamin. Grandad was so excited to have his family with him that when the preacher asked if there are any praises or prayer request he was the first one to yell out (from the choir loft) "Nana and I have many blessings big and small, they are all sitting in those two pews over there."

John Reid LOVED the after service egg hunt. However, a family friend gave him an Easter basket with a ball and glove in it.
Hmmmm.... his focus quickly changed! (He's into playing catcher these days)

There were PLENTY of eggs...

On Monday we went into town to check out the famous Tyler
Azaleas. The
Azalea District is amazing, tons of beautiful old homes with
unbelievable gardens. We
stopped in an area where you can just walk through people's backyards.

Pictures these days are very difficult...

Here is John Reid before his school egg hunt. This picture of him make me think of my dad.
