Much Needed Update

The past few weeks have been quite busy around the Trigger house. John Reid had his 2nd ear infection and finally was moved to "The Walkers" room at the church nursery yesterday so we are officially on the move. Chris is busy with work, riding his bike and playing golf. We are begining to work on making our house more a home and started with new landscaping in the front yard.

Today marks my 13th week of pregnancy and just like with John Reid entering the 2nd trimester is just a wonderful thing! In the last week I have began to re-gain energy and appetite. I even walked through the cheese section of Central Market today without gagging! I must say I was a bit sad at the beginning of this pregnancy, feeling like things couldn't be as fun the 2nd time around. However in recent days God has reminded me of the miracle of growth and all the amazing things associated with new babies. I now feel my experience with John Reid is making this one even more special.

John Reid and I made a quick trip to OKC late last week. My brother was in town with his family so we got to have a little cousin time.

This is the 3 of them playing in the rocking boat at a museum.

John Reid and I got home just in time for one of Chris' co-workers little girl's 2nd birthday party. Kimber, the birthday girl loves the movie Hairspray so it was a 50's dress up party. It was as cute as you can imagine. John Reid had on rolled up jeans and a white shirt. Things were a little crazy chasing him around so we didn't get any pictures. But John Reid had a great time eating ice cream sundaes playing on the bounce house.

Then yesterday it was off to the TCU Alumni egg hunt. Because it was so cold John Reid couldn't wear his Easter outfit, but it's probably better to keep it clean.

He loved all the red wagons that were all around.  He was chasing them down and throwing a mini fit when we took him away from them. (Important for later)

And below are some of my favorite shots from the hunt.

After the hunt John Reid took a long nap and he had a HUGE surprise when he woke up. Our dear friend Megan and John were able to give him a belated birthday gift. Imagine his joy when he say his very own red wagon (that he had been admiring all day) with his own "brand" on the front. Thanks Meg and John, how special!

And in honor of John Reid finally walking I thought I'd post a picture that reminds us of how far he has come. The doctors put this Pavlic Harness on John Reid when he was just 10 days old. And for 3 months we NEVER took it off! This corrected hip dysplasia in both of his hips. I will be making a final doctors appointment in a few weeks to get another x-ray and hopefully the all clear!
