Due Date

Today marks the day that Benjamin was expected to enter the world. He was 4 weeks and 4 days early. He seems to love being near me (for example sleeps best right by my side) so I've been using the excuse "he's still suppose to be inside me."I guess I can't say that anymore! He is doing wonderful. I am exclusively breast feeding (something I wasn't able to do with John Reid) and he is really packing on the pounds. We took him to the doctor today and he weighs 8lb1oz!

I will be taking Benjamin to Cook Children's Hospital on Friday for 2 sonograms. Both are follow ups from the NICU (one on his hips, only because John Reid had hip dysplasia and one on his kidneys. There was a small amount of fluid around his kidneys at birth, something the doctor assumed was "overflow" from his abdomen. Please join us in pray that this fluid has not increased.)

Benjamin Wade Trigger 3 1/2 weeks old

John Reid Trigger 5 days old

I just love being a mama to two boys! Last week was my first couple of days my myself without family in town. Things went better than expected! I've got a little cabin fever trying to keep them away from germs but I'm getting creative with things we can do at home!
John Reid continues to be a great big brother. We made a trip to get Pumpkin Ice Cream . Grandma was in the back seat sharing with John Reid and he said "Benjamin. Icey Cream."          -wanting to make sure we didn't leave his little brother out.
