The Triggers: Baby Benny

As you can imagine the last 1 1/2 months have been a whirlwind. Each day I seem to become even more aware of how great our God is and the beautiful journey we've been on. I'm sure we'll be learning from this for the rest of our lives. One of the things that was part of the whirlwind was just naming our sweet Benjamin. Chris and I were having a hard time with a name and as soon as we learned of our baby's condition it quickly became important that we name him. John Reid was a part of that process as he quickly picked up on calling the baby "Baby Benny." We are going to try to call him Benjamin, but to his older brother he is Baby Benny.

He has been a great Big Brother so far!

When you ask John Reid what Baby Benny is doing he says "Drink Mama's Milk!"

Our dear dear friends, The Branagh's, moved to California days before we found out Benjamin was sick. It was plain awful to be so far away from them! This weekend they made a trip to Texas and we were able to spend some great time with them and baby Branagh on the way. In true John fashion, he helped Chris with yet another Honey Do... this time it was the baby bed. Of course John Reid could not be kept away from the action so he joined the boys (thanks to Zac too!) and we set him up with books in the rocker. He read the whole time they worked!
