Keeping Busy!

I am always looking for fun things to do with John Reid. Sometimes I feel like I don't come up with anything very great, but the past couple of days I've been lucky. Yesterday we took an afternoon walk towards the noisy TCU stadium to find 3 helicopters in the Alumni Field in celebration of the Fort Worth Bowl being played today. We hung around with a lot of other little boys eagerly waiting and got to see all 3 take off. John Reid loved the noise and I think he learned what the work "windy" really means!

The celebration continued as we were eating dinner we got a fireworks show that appeared to be put on just for us. I couldn't capture the actually fireworks, but here is a picture of Chris and John Reid enjoying the show from our back porch!

The next pictures are of John Reid's first art activity! This morning I ran into a book my mom gave be a while back called 365 Days of Baby Love. I flipped to this idea and decided we'd try it before nap time. He loved it! All you do is cover foil with baby oil and let your baby explore with tissue paper. Fun, simple and it smells great!

Oh, the strange mini curtains in the background are the beginning stages of our homemade baby gate system for the playroom. We are not having luck with store bought gates, so I'm working on a creation! I'll keep you updated.

Hey there Emily!

I can't believe how big the little guy is! I am so excited for you. This church stuff is tough, but so amazing at the same time. Thank you for pouring into me. I wouldn't be where I am without your leadership!
Blessings!
