Our doctor's appointment today went well. To us, no bad news is good news. We really liked Dr. Tabor. Although he saw the same things as the doctor on Wednesday, Dr. Tabor seemed a little less "doom and gloom." However, we are still aware this is very serious.
Basically, Baby Ben seems very healthy except for the fluid in his belly and excess amniotic fluid. In fact his heart looked so good he didn't send us to the cardiologist. There are no symptoms to treat or to help diagnose the root of the problem. We did an amnio today and should begin getting some of the results back by my next appointment on Thursday afternoon. The initial results will tell us about genetic/chromosomal issues and the later ones (10+ days) will give us viral information. Please continue to pray for Baby Ben and myself. The best place for him is in my womb, so the prayer is that I do not go into labor. Although I'm not officially on bed rest I am taking things super easy. I cannot lift John Reid so someone will be staying with us for a while (a rotation of "The Mom/Grandma Team") Dr. Tabor wants to see me 2 times a week and he will be working closely with my primary OBGYN.
Please join us in praise to God for this baby and the hopeful doctor's appointment. And continue to lift Ben up to Him. Pray his fluid decreases and his organs can remain healthy!

Praise God for a healthy heart. May God work a miracle in Ben's life and lay His hand of protection over this little life inside you.
Hi emily and chris;
We are praying and rejoicing that you didn't need to do a cardio test on Baby Ben. My nephew Clayton robison's wife... Timari is due Sept. 12 and they have selected Benjamin Michael for their baby boy's name! that is a wonderful name.
I'm glad that you have help , so you can rest.
We love you Emily and Chris and John Reid and keep you uplifted.
love,
Larry, Paula and fam.
