Update for Today

Emily and Ben are both doing well. Emily had more contractions than normal last night but is not in active labor. Dr. Tabor did a sono this morning and confirmed that Ben has gained back some of the fluid that was drained from his abdomen. Although the amount is not significant to warrant draining the fluid or delivering him immediately, it's not the best news they could have received.

They will continue to monitor Emily and do sonograms once a week. Unless the doctors allow Emily to home, she will remain in the hospital until Ben is delivered.

I guess I should address sweet John Reid!!! The grandmother's have been taking turns watching him and bringing him up to visit his momma. He has been pretty tentative when he first gets to the hospital but then he starts to open up and play and talk with Emily. He is learning so many new words every day! He has also started going to school one day a week and so far he has really enjoyed it!
